The IC693MDL645 is a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) with a 24-volt DC Positive/Negative Logic Input from the 90-30 Series. It fits into any Series 90-30 PLC system with a 5 or 10-slot baseplate. This input module is capable of both positive and negative logic. Each group includes 16 input points. It makes use of a single power connector. To power field devices, the user has two options: supply power directly or utilize a compatible +24BDC supply.

The dual logic properties of the IC693MDL645 module make it excellent for applications that require electronic proximity switches, limit switches, and pushbuttons. The wiring and current identification information is contained on an insert, which is vital to notice.This insert is situated between the hinged door’s inner and outer surfaces. The wiring information is on the outward-facing side of the insert. Because the current identification is on the inside of the insert, it is necessary to open the hinged door to examine it. The outside border of the insert has been color-coded blue because this module is designated as low voltage.

Two horizontal rows, each with eight green LEDs, are located at the top of the module. The LEDs corresponding to input points 1 to 8 on the top row are designated A1 to A8, while those corresponding to input points 9 through 16 on the second row are labeled B1 to B8.Each input point’s “on” or “off” status is shown by these LEDs.

The rated voltage of this 24-volt DC Positive/Negative Logic Input module is 24 volts, and the DC input voltage range is 0 to +30 volts DC. Between the field and logic sides, there is 1500 volts of isolation. At rated voltage, the input current is typically 7 mA. The on-state voltage ranges from 11.5 to 30 volts DC, whereas the off-state voltage ranges from 0 to 5 volts DC. The minimum on-state current is 3.2 mA, and the maximum off-state current is 1.1 mA. The average response time for turning on and off is 7 milliseconds.
